Trydan's Art and Poetry Competition Launches

Published 18/06/2026   |   Last Updated 18/06/2026

Trydan has partnered with IAW, the Urdd's magazine for young Welsh-language learners, to offer a creative competition and an electrifying prize.

The recently released June/ July issue of IAW features a challenge to prove the creative talents of Wales's youth, through a piece of art or poetry.

The competition's theme is to create a piece of art or poetry based upon an open and creative interpretation of 'Ynni i Ffynnu' ('Power to Prosper').

'Ynni i Ffynnu' - Power to prosper captures the essence, in words, of what makes Trydan different to other energy companies. Our mission is to unlock the renewable energy potential of Wales, and deliver benefits to our society, our environment and our economy, for everyone living and working in Wales today and for future generations.

As Wales's publicly owned renewable energy developer, this event is part of a partnership between Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru and Urdd Gobaith Cymru, and the invitation is open for young people to ignite their ambition, creativity, and the hopes of the nation by looking towards a prosperous and sustainable future.
